BASEBALL AND SOFTALL
Recreation (Rec.): This division is designed the everyday player who is interested in playing baseball recreationally. The teams in this division will be selected through a draft and each head coach of the team is allowed to freeze up to six (6) players. Prior to the start of the season, the player is expected to have practice between 2 and 3 times per week. After the start of games, the player will likely have a commitment of 2-3 times per week (usually a combination of 1-2 games and a practice each week). Depending on the age group, it is expected that each player will practice individually on his or her own when time permits. This division is expected to focus on the fundamentals of baseball and developing an appreciation for the game.
All-Stars: The All-Star team is selected from players in the Rec. Division in the spring season to represent the league at their particular age division (6U through 14U). There is no All-Star team in the fall season. Players interested in participating on the All-Star team must attend a try-out and the team is selected by the head. Usually, the tryouts will occur during the first or second week of May. Players on the All-Star team must be available the first three weekends of June for planned tournaments. There are additional costs associated with participating in All-Stars.
